The furniture element, especially front or wall cladding, consists of a profiled panel (1) the lower part of which has a moulded plinth (2). The panel top part (3) is bent into an L-shape pointing to the plinth and containing one or more holes (4). An L- or U-shaped end part (5) has a free arm (5a) at least the same length as the L-shaped panel end (3) and parallel to it. The other L- or U-shaped arm (5b,c) covers or grips round the free panel end. The parallel arms of the panel part (3) and end (5) are screwed together. Near the panel side edges are rounded parts in which are facing recesses into which fit the ends of a connecting cross bar. USE/ADVANTAGE - The front or wall cladding for a kitchen appliance matches adjoining panels, enabling cables or hoses to be laid by having a moulded plinth.
