The rock has two longitudinal longerons (2,3) and a pair of separate transversals (4,5). These create a space in which are interchangeably housed one or more tool holders (8). The holders are positioned precisely and the exact positioning is repeatable via holder bearings which present projecting locators on the lower sides in contact with the longerons. These locate on several holes chosen at will from holes in the surface of the longerons on which the holders rest. The latter are fitted to the longerons and consist of L-rolled sections. The sections present at least one bayonet type backing fitting.
