A housing for heat insulated armatures and/or flanged couplings has two housing sections with two openings for the pipelines. The sections are connected close to their joining plane and have a centralising means at their edge. At least one of the sections (2,3) has a domed projection (25) to take the actuating mechanism (6) and at least one unit (4) to serve the actuator. The openings (18,19) to take the pipe connections (10,11) have insulation sleeve linings (20,21). USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple, effective design, enables armature to be serviced without breaking insulation.
