摘要 Fuel vapour from the fuel tank is collected in an activated carbon filter (10). The vapour is released into the inlet manifold (15) in a controlled manner via a membrane control valve (11). The membrane is operated by the engine suction, via an inlet (B) and shuts off the connection when the engine is stopped. This prevents fuel vapour leaching out via the air filter (14). The control valve has a second valve in line with the main valve. This is pressure controlled, to reduce the flow when the engine is idling, or during engine braking. The second valve has a spring loaded restricted diameter pipepushed into the open position by the spring. USE/ADVANTAGE - All IC engines, prevents fuel vapour loss when parked, prevents overrun on idling.
