The collecting tank (10) is positioned under the level of the waste water flow (12) from the washing basin, shower cabinet, bath etc. The tank level is maintained by a level trip for both min. and max. levels. If the level drops below a minimum level a freshwater feed (13) is activated. The water is pumped to the cistern by a pump (18) in response to a signal from a level trip (20) in the cistern. The pump is operated after a preset time delay when the cistern level drops. The tank has an overflow (15) for excess water and a drainage duct (26). Both outflows can be controlled by valves. ADVANTAGE - Saves water from mains supply, efficient use of washing water.
