PURPOSE:To perform the inspection of digital device software by describing faults in a wide range and with high efficiency by setting data required for fault assumption in a form of tree structure based on dependence with a fault mode. CONSTITUTION:The fault assumption data of an inspection target and a fault assumption extension rule are supplied in advance, and the dependence with the fault mode is established. A system user inputs a sequence block diagram that is a design drawing of the digital device software of the inspection target to an input device 120 by a block diagram storage medium 110. The block diagram is stored in a block diagram memory device 180 via data transmission equipment 190. Processing based on an instruction by an inference execution device 130 is executed at an arithmetic processing unit 170, and the fault assumption data stored in a knowledge memory device 140 is applied, then, inspection data can be generated. The inspection data is outputted to an inspection data storage medium 160 by an output device 150. |
