The compressor stationary worm element (24) has a guide wall (24b), enclosing a worm chamber (52) with cooling medium intake. A movable worm element (32) has a similar wall (32b), engaging the first one so that the outer worm chamber part is divided into two sections (Z1,Z2), when the movable element rotates about the axis (O) of the stationary one. Due to this, either section alternately acts as compression chamber (34). The inner section has a cooling medium intake, which is alternately opened and closed. A connecting duct system (58) in the stationary element connects the chamber sections, when the intake is opened. USE/ADVANTAGE - For car air conditioning system,with sufficient cooling even for high operational rates.
