A universal joint has two linkage forks with arms radially displaced from the axis of rotation and lying opposite to each other. A journal cross link has four journals, of which the two on one axis are arranged in bushes in the fork arms on one fork and both axes cross at right angles. The fork arms (6) have a slit (18) on ends of their base (4) over the length of the bush (17). The bearing sleeves (14) have their outer surface (15) inserted into the slit.
