The position setting attachment has a stop (5) defining the component position provided by a setting spindle having a longitudinally adjustable setting nut (7), acting as the working piston of a closed hydraulic system. The control piston of the latter is displaced via a second setting spindle (10) carrying a second spindle nut (14) and has a smaller surface area than that of the working piston. Pref. the control piston (9) is moved parallel to a horizontal bearing surface (4) the spindle nut (7) acting as the working piston displaced vertical to this surface (4). USE - For obtaining planar accuracy of cutting plates in milling head cassette.
