The sliding roof is adjusted between a closed position in which it covers a roof opening (4) and a position in which the greening (4) is at least partially open, with an incorporated ventilation fan (15) drawing air from the space (9) beneath the roof panel (5). The ventilation fan (15) is supported by a mounting (17) provided by the rear part of the frame (2) enclosing the roof opening (4). Pref. two mountings are used to support two fans (15) lying next to one another transverse to the vehicle longitudinal axis, each fan (15) pref. operated by solar energy provided by a solar panel incorporated in the roof panel (5).
