An arrangement for verifying the impermeability of a sleeve body in a cable network comprising a gas cartridge within the sleeve and a pressure indicating device for indicating the excess pressure in the sleeve. In preferred embodiments the gas cartridge can be released either (i) as the sleeve is closed, or (ii) from the outside of the sleeve after the sleeve is closed.
