The height meter includes a tube level for measuring heights below 0 deg. and below 45 deg. inclination. A horizontally mounted level (3) is rotatable with a mirror (1a) in a vertical plane about an angle of 45 deg. The level can be viewed via the mirror in its horizontal position and can be directly viewed after rotation through 45 deg. There is an opening (2a) on the side of the device for viewing the object. The mirror and level holder are mounted together in a block. ADVANTAGE - Simple, low-cost measurement device in the form of a pen which produces rapid estimates requiring no conversion.
