PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material superior in graininess and sharpness by incorporating an oil globule dispersion type pyrazolotriazole magenta coupler and a Fischer dispersion type coupler in at least one of silver halide emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the silver halide emulsion layers contains the first oil globule dispersion type coupler of pyrazolotriazole magenta coupler represented by formula I or II (each of R1 and R2 is 1-20C alkyl or aryl, such as phenyl or naphthyl, or a heterocyclic group having N, O, or S on the ring; and Z is H or the like. In combination with said coupler, this layer contains the Fischer dispersion type second coupler, preferably, the ones each having a pyrazolotriazole ring as a base ring, represented by formula III in which each of R37 and R38 is H, alkyl, aryl, or a heterocyclic group; J is a bonding group, such as -O-, -S-, or -N-; and X33 is H, halogen, or the like. The addition of the first and second couplers permits variation of performance due to development conditions to be eliminated. |
