PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a mostly novel specific nitromethylene derivative and O-ethyl S,S-diphenyl phosphorodithioate and capable of controlling blights and injurious insects of rice plants (blights and planthoppers and leafhoppers of rice plants) at the same time. CONSTITUTION:An agricultural insecticidal and germicidal composition, obtained by incorporating (A) a mostly novel compound (insecticide) expressed by the formula (X is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or halogen; l is 0, 1 or 2; m is 2 or 3) with (B) O-ethyl S,S-diphenyl phosphorodithioate (controlling agent against blast of rice plants) and, as necessary, further (C) 4,5,6,7-tetrachlorophthalide (controlling agent against blast of rice plants) as active constituents at 1:0.05-20:0.05-20, preferably 1:0.1-10:0.1-10 weight ratio [(A):(B):(C)] by pts.wt., capable of exhibiting improved potentiating and synergistic effect unexpected from effect of the respective independent agents and showing excellent insecticidal and germicidal effect on both blights and injurious insects of rice plants and particularly effective for simultaneous control of the above-mentioned blights and injurious insects and labor saving, etc. |
