PURPOSE:To obtain a system which observes traffic separately for every medium and is friendly for a user desiring to investigate the traffic classified by the mudium by defining beforehand the classification of the communication medium, and executing the extraction, the analysis, and the control of data by a packet switchboard. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting communication, a local terminal 5 transmits a call origination request packet to a packet switchboard 4. As for the call origination request packet received by a transmitting and receiving queue 44, a medium classification digit in the call origination request packet is extracted by a medium classification processing control part 42, and corresponding digit data is collated with the data of a classification data management and storage part 41, and is classified and registered in a traffic information management and storage part 43. Henceforward, the traffic observation data of the communication data of the local terminal 5 is stored successively in the classified storage part 43. Similarly, the traffic data of the new communication by the call origination request of a local host 7 and a trunk circuit 9 is classified and observed as well. |
