PCM signals are binary output signals of a wideband regenerator. Pseudoternary signals are capacitively coupled to the input of a transmission cable. The converter has a line connected to the PCM wideband regenerator output terminals, short-circuited at its end, and with a characteristic impedance Zw. It also has an h.v. proof, wideband capacitor unit which connects the regenerator output terminal at the reference potential to the earthed input of the transmission cable. The regenerator h.v. terminal is directly connected to the h.v. input of the cable. The regenerator h. v. output terminal (OP2) is connected to the cable h. v. terminal through a second line (L2) with characteristics impedance (Zw). Its lengths is such, that reflections of the ternary signals fall into the transitions between the "eyes" of the signals.
