The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a polyethylene glycol (or derivatives)-peptide conjugate, and more particularly a polyethylene glycol (or derivatives)-hirudin conjugate. It also relates to the polyethylene glycol (or derivatives)-hirudin conjugate obtained and its use as medicinal product in the treatment of thromboses. <IMAGE>
