The present invention comprises a buffered display and terminal system incorporating a main CPU which can be connected to a remote CPU in the form of a micro processor or mini computer. The remote CPU is connected to a series of keyboards and CRT's using its memory to control the overall function of the buffered display system and, at the same time, to allow the capture of material to be displayed that is to be later stored. A television camera is used to capture the material to be displayed. The remote CRT and terminal can provide both alpha-numeric information on one portion of the CRT and video and graphic display on another portion of the CRT simultaneously.
