PURPOSE:To perform accurate position estimation in a break of the reception of a satellite signal by calculating the quantity of magnetic deviation from a moving azimuth right before the break of the reception and an estimated position on the basis of the measurement position, azimuth data, and range data of a GPS (global positioning system) right before the break, and outputting the calculated values. CONSTITUTION:The GPS receiver 1 which measures and outputs the moving azimuth of an automobile 6 warns an estimated position computing element 3 of a decrease in the intensity of the satellite signal being received, a computing element 2 calculates the quantity of magnetic deviation on the basis of the moving azimuth before the break of the reception of the receiver 1 and the azimuth data from a magnetic azimuth meter 8 and the computing element 3 calculates the estimated position on the basis of the quantity of magnetism, azimuth data, range data from a range finder 9, and the measurement position of the receiver 1 right before the break. Then, the receiver 1 and computing element 3 are connected to a changeover switch 4, and the output of the receiver 1 during the reception of the satellite signal or the output of the computing element 3 in the break is outputted to the position display device 5. |
