The fuel system on the vehicle, eg. a tractor unit, comprises two tanks 1 and 2, one for RED diesel fuel and the other for WHITE diesel fuel. Alternatively, one tank may have separate compartments (Fig 2). The fuel pipes 3 and 4 are connected to fuel valves 8 and 9 via filters 5 and 6 and are connected by a Tee-piece 10 from which a fuel pipe 11 goes to a further fuel pump 13. An electrical switch 14 allows the operator to selectively open either valve 8 or 9 so that RED diesel fuel is used on plant and WHITE diesel fuel on the road. <IMAGE> |
