<p>A coated film having a polymeric film substrate with a subbing layer containing an organic acid and a polymer which has a repeating unit(s) containing a pendant nitrogen atom(s). The ratio of organic acid to polymer in the subbing layer is in the range from 1 : 0.1 to 20 by weight. The coated film exhibits excellent adhesion to photographic emulsion layers, even when applied prior to completion of any film stretching operation.</p> |
