MOTION DETECTING APPARATUS ON IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM

The system makes motion detection between the picture frames. For high efficient real time processing, this method measures a change in the selected picture segments of the small area of the object. The system firstly latches the current and the previous edged binary field data from the edge detector (1). By using block Matching Algorithm (BMA), a correlation between the two field data is calculated in the correlation calculation unit (7). A motion vector detected as having a maximum correlation-ship through a motion vector detector (9) and max. correlation detector (8) is transferred into the motion decision unit (11) which outputs a final motion vector after comparion process with the previously obtained vectors.
