PURPOSE:To provide a printer improving handiness and an inner set-up state output method, by performing output by indicating predetermined information to output of an inner setting state. CONSTITUTION:An inner set-up item which is to print is read out at a step S12, whether or not the inner set-up item has a meaning under an inner set-up state of a present device is decided at steps 13, 14, when it is revealed that the item is meaningless, after printing circumstances relating to character printing are changed at steps 15, 16, the inner set-up state of the inner set-up item is read out and the same is printed. Then the printing circumstances are initialized for the next inner set-up state printing at a step 17. Then in the case where it is decided that the same is a meaningful set-up item at the step 13, advanced to the step 16 from the step 14 and the inner set-up state is printed without changing the printing circumstances. |
