PROCESSING HEAD FOR LASER BEAM MACHINE

PURPOSE:To improve processing accuracy by inclinedly mounting planar protective glass to the condenser lens of a processing head of a laser beam machine and providing a through-hole detector for laser beam boring. CONSTITUTION:The processing head 1 of the laser beam machine which processes a work 3 by irradiating the work with the laser beam has the condenser lens 4 for condensing the laser beam and the through-hole detector 2 for boring which receives the laser beam reflected from the work 3 and detects the penetration of the laser beam to be cast to the work 3. Further, the planar protective glass 5 which protects the condenser lens against processing sputters is inclined by 3 to 7 deg. from horizontal and is mounted to the processing side of the condenser lens 4. The detection of the boring is thereby facilitated and the processing accuracy is improved.
