PURPOSE: To improve the safety of a device by providing a device for displaying the opening of the cover of the casing of a charging socket device, and for simultaneously inhibiting the start of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A charging socket device for a vehicle with an electric motor is constituted by setting a charging socket 5 in a sealing casing 1 which can be closed by a pivotally fixed cover 2. The charging socket device is provided with locking devices 8 and 9 which can be operated from the inside part of a vehicle for holding the cover 2 in the closed position. The cover 2 is connected with a device for displaying the opening of the cover 2 to a driver, and connected with a device for inhibiting the start of the vehicle when the cover is opened.
