PRODUCTION OF HYGROSCOPIC POLYAMIDE FIBER

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber free from discoloration during its spinning process, having excellent hygroscopicity by alkali treatment of fibers produced from a composition comprising a polyamide and a thermoplastic polymer containing specific acid anhydride units at specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyamide fibers free from discoloration due to thermal decomposition and having hygroscopicity more excellent than that of cotton can be obtained by alkali treatment of fibers produced by spinning and drawing a composition comprising (A) 5-45 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polymer containing acid anhydride units of the formula (R1 and R2 are each alkyl or H; n is 0 or 1) (e.g. glutaric anhydride unit) and (B) 55-95 pts.wt. of a polyamide with a content of said unit in the composition being 0.2-1.9mol/kg.
