PURPOSE:To provide the subject detergent excellent in handleability, safety and detergency, useful for e.g. automatic dishwashers, containing, as the essential ingredients, an alkali metal hydroxide and specific builder at specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The objective detergent containing, as the essential ingredients, (A) 3-60wt.% of an alkali metal hydroxide such as sodium hydroxide and (B) 1-50wt.% of a builder consisting of a compound of the formula [n is 0-100; M is H, alkali (alkaline earth) metal, ammonium, 2-3C mono-, di- or trialkanolammonium, 1-6C alkyl-substituted ammonium or basic amino acid residue]. |
