PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition which can stably be molded into a molding of excellent antistatic properties by mixing an aromatic polyester with an antistatic agent comprising a polyoxyalkylene polyether and an organic ionic compound. CONSTITUTION:The title composition comprises 100 pts.wt. aromatic polyester and an antistatic agent comprising 0.2-30 pts.wt. polyoxyalkylene polyether and 0.05-10 pts.wt. organic ionic compound substantially unreactive with the polyether. The antistatic agent has a dispersibility X of 0.1-1, said X being defined by the formula: X=NXW [wherein N (particles/cm<2>) is the number of particles of a diameter of 2.5mum or larger that are observed when 20mg of the polyester composition is sandwiched between two preparates, melted at 285 deg.C under a load of 10g and formed into a thin film of a diameter of 1cm, and W (pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. polyester) is the amount of the antistatic agent in the composition], and the intrinsic viscosity of the aromatic polyester is 0.65 or above. |
