PURPOSE:To execute high accuracy marking with high efficiency and simplify the device when the surface of roll is pattered by coating the surface of a metallic roll for rolling with an acid resistant resin film and partially evaporating the film by irradiating a pulse-like laser beam while revolving the roll. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam from a YAG laser oscillator 14 is conducted to a condenser 16 for marking in the vicinity of the roll 15 with a flexible optical fiber 1. The condenser 16 is moved in parallel to the revolving shaft of the roll 15, the laser beam is dispersed/aligned/condensed, also each of the beams is independently turned on and off with an optical modulator and the aligned microscopic spots are condensed and irradiates the surface of the roll 15. |
