BELT CONVEYOR IN IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable the replacement work of a belt while leaving a device main body pulled forward without shifting a unit to a place other than the device main body by providing a moving body within the travel line of the belt such that it is longitudinally movable, and providing the moving body with movement means for vertically moving the unit. CONSTITUTION:A transfer unit U or a photoreceptor unit comprises a transfer belt 10 or photoreceptor belt wound between a driving roller 7 and a driven roller 9 both of which are installed between front and rear frames 6a. A moving body 15 is longitudinally movably provided within the travel line of the belt 10 and movement means 16 for vertically moving the unit U is provided to the moving body 15. The moving body thus being provided within the travel line of the belt, when the unit is pulled out the belt is located at the outermost side and the space around the belt is left open so that the replacement work of the transfer belt can readily be performed.
