PURPOSE:To shorten a warming-up time and to simply replenish ink by melting a recording medium solid at room temp. under heating and emitting the same from an emitting orifice by imparting the heating energy corresponding to a recording signal thereto to perform recording. CONSTITUTION:A heating means is provided to the second chamber 101C of a first tank 101 to hold the recording medium 3 in the second chamber 101C to a molten state. Or, a heating means heating the whole of the first tank 101 is provided to hold the whole of the recording medium 3 in the first tank 101 to a molten state. The recording medium supplied to the second tank 21 is melted by a heating means and the molten recording medium 3 is supplied to a liquid chamber 10 by an ink supply pipe 22 to be emitted from an emitting orifice 5 corresponding to a recording signal. |
