PURPOSE:To provide a detergent composition free from solvent odor and uncomfortable feeling when used, capable of efficiently removing stains derived from human secretion, thus useful for hard surfaces in bathrooms, etc., comprising each specific solvent and compound (s) and a surfactant at specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 0.1-20wt.% of an alkylene glycol alkyl ether solvent of formula I (R and R' are each H or 1-8C alkyl; x and y are each 0-3) containing minor components 50-300 in molecular weight at such levels as to be <=0.5% in the ratio of the peak area for the minor components to that for the solvent determined by head space GC-MS analysis, (B) 0.01-20wt.% of at least one kind of compound (or its water-soluble salt) selected from those of formulas II to V (X is H, CH3, etc.; Y is H or OH; A is CH2COOH, etc.; B (is CH2COOH, C2H4OH, etc.), and (C) 0.1-20wt.% of a surfactant. |
