PURPOSE: To obtain a composition containing a peptide having fibroblast cell growth factor action and a cationic polyelectrolyte and useful for treatment of wound. CONSTITUTION: This composition contains a peptide having biological action of a fibroblast cell growth factor (referred to as FGF) and a cationic high polyelectrolyte (e.g. polyamine) as active ingredients. The peptide is used in a concentration of 0.1ng to 500μg/ml and the cationic polyelectrolyte is used in a concentration of 1μg to 500μg/ml. In the peptide having FGH action, the biological activity is not influenced upon FGF receptor of a cell membrane by the non-specific bond. The composition is useful for treatment of skin damage of bed sore, diabetic gangrene, arterial and venous hemostasis, etc., burn, wound from mucosal ulcer and injury, wound, etc., due to operation.
