PURPOSE:To obtain the subject thermal energy storage material, having a specific value of melting point, capable of being readily cooled and solidified with hardly any fear of freezing and utilizable for cooling in the summer season, etc., by blending specific amounts of n-hexadecane with n-tetradecane. CONSTITUTION:The objective thermal energy storage material is composed of a mixture obtained by mixing n-hexadecane with n-tetradecane at (99/1) to (65/35) [preferably (90/10) to (80/20)] ratio based on pts.wt. and has 9-17 deg.C (preferably 12-15 deg.C) melting point. |
