PURPOSE:To improve measurement accuracy by estimating temperature of a material to be measured according to the temperature of a magnetization coil for generating electromagnetic ultrasonic wave and compensating an error in the measurement value of propagation time of the ultrasonic wave in the material to be measured due to the temperature fluctuation of the material to be measured according to the influence of an atmosphere temperature. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of a material to be measured is estimated according to the temperature of magnetization coils of probes 11, 12, and 13 which are measured by a thermocouple 4. An error in propagation time of ultrasonic wave within the material to be measured by sending and receiving the ultrasonic wave by the probes 11, 12, and 13 is compensated based on the above temperature. |
