<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an electret fiber aggregate capable of keeping high electrostatic potential over a long period and useful for air filter and wiper. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a synthetic fiber such as polyester, polyolefin or polyacrylonitrile having an equilibrium water-content of <2% and a melting point of >=150 deg.C is coated with a resin such as polyolefin, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or acrylic acid ester and charged by applying high potential. The surface resin layer acts also as a hot-melt resin.</p> |
