PURPOSE: To prepare multicylindrical article as an imaging member by filling a liquid uncured resin material and magnetically attractable filler material into a cylindrical mold, spinning the mold applying a magnetic field to attract the filler in the direction dictated by the magnetic field, and then curing the resin. CONSTITUTION: A mold 1 is made of a material like glass or quartz rotatable around the axis A.A mixture of uncured liquid resin and a magnetically attractable material id filled in the mold 1 in rotation. A magnetic filed is applied on the mixture by a high intensity magnet 7. As a result, the filled mixture is separated into an outer layer 9 of the magnetically attractable material and an inner layer 11 of uncured resin. Ultraviolet rays are applied to the inner layer 11 from ultraviolet sources in and out of the mold 1 to cure the inner layer 11. Thus a multilayered cylindrical article is obtained and taken out from the mold 1. |
