PURPOSE: To provide a clamp device for simplifying and reinforcing the mounting of an air bag. CONSTITUTION: A clamp device for clamping an air bag 12 for a vehicle to an air bag inflator 14 is provided with a module housing 18 and a circular retainer whose walls are attached perpendicular to the body of a clamp member at the boundary of the side of the inflator. When the outer periphery of a gas inlet opening is arranged between the body and wall of the clamp member, the air bag 12 is held at a prescribed position by a radial clamp and an axial clamp, and the air bag is mounted during development. The compact fastener opening of a module housing 18 connected with the radial clamp provides the clamp of the air bag 12 during the assembly of the air bag module without the attachment or loading of the inflator 14. |
