PURPOSE:To activate the surface of a denitrification catalyst even in the conditions of low temperature, to promote denitrification reaction and to enhance the degree of denitrification by reacting and attracting active oxygen on the surface of the denitrification catalyst and increasing functional groups on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst layer 5 is equipped in the inside of a denitrification reaction tower 4. A denitrification catalyst forming the catalytic layer 5 has carbon as the structure of a base body. Further, an ozone supply pipe 7 for feeding ozone 6 as substance for generating active oxygen is provided in the upside of the catalytic layer 5. The blowout port 8 of exhaust gas 1 is opened in the top part of the denitrification reaction tower 4. Ozone 6 and NH3 9 are supplied together with exhaust gas 1. Active oxygen is reacted and attracted on the surface of the denitrification catalyst to form active functional groups. A plurality of NO2 are carried on the surface of the denitrification catalyst by reacting NO with the functional groups. Reductive reaction of NOx based on NH3 is promoted. Thereby, the degree of denitrification is drastically enhanced. |
