<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject antibody, specifically bindable to a murine interleukin-6 receptor and useful for elucidating various properties of the murine interleukin-6 receptor, a therapeutic agent for abnormal production and immunoassay thereof, etc., in relation to the murine interleukin-6 receptor. CONSTITUTION:A murine interleukin-6 receptor is used as an immunogen and administered to immunologically sensitize a mammal. After the final immunization, the whole blood is collected. Blood serum is then separated from the collected blood and an antibody is further isolated from the separated blood serum according to a conventional method. Thereby, a polyclonal antibody capable of recognizing the murine interleukin-6 receptor is obtained. A splenic cell is collected from the mammal after the final immunization, fused to a cellular strain of a myeloma and selectively cultured in a culture medium to afford a fused strain. A strain capable of recognizing the murine interleukin-6 receptor is then cloned from the fused strain and the monocloned fused strain is cultured. The resultant product is subsequently separated from the culture to provide the objective monoclonal antibody to the murine interleukin-6 receptor.</p> |
