In order to avoid problems of physicochemical stability of the cosmetic products containing sal fat, the fractional crystallisation of this fat is carried out using n-hexane so as to obtain an olein in the form of a clear liquid at room temperature. The olein obtained lends itself to the manufacture of cosmetic compositions in the form of emulsions or anhydrous products which conserve a smooth and glossy appearance while still having the qualities inherent in sal fat. |
