The invention relates to a continuous double band press for producing laminates, chipboards or fibreboards, plywood or the like. The double band press has an upper and a lower continuous press band (8, 9) guided over in each case two tail pulleys mounted rotatably in a rigid press frame. On the insides of the press bands are arranged pressure chambers (14) which are limited in the vertical direction by pressure plates secured in the press frame and the press bands and in the horizontal direction by floating seals (15). In the pressure chambers, a pressure generated with fluid means acts on the press bands. Heat-conducting elements (18) are arranged in the pressure chambers in order to heat or cool down the press bands. Said heat-conducting elements have a body, in which means for heating or cooling the heat-conducting element are provided. <IMAGE> |
