PURPOSE: To provide an amplifier using an amplifying optical fiber, capable of reducing harmful action of optical noise. CONSTITUTION: The present amplifier includes a wavelength multiplexer, a doped optical fiber with first length L, an isolator 5, and a doped optical fiber with second length L' between an input terminal 2 for an optical signal to be amplified and an output terminal 3 of the optical signal. These various elements, constituting the amplifier, are connected with each other through welding. |
