PURPOSE:To eliminate the processing of recovered toner and environmental pollution, and simultaneously, to increase the using efficiency of toner. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device has an electrostatic charging device uniformly charging the surface of an image carrier, a latent image forming device 3 forming an electrostatic latent image on the charged image carrier, a developing device developing the electrostatic latent image to form a toner image, and a means transferring/fixing the toner image formed on the image carrier onto a transfer material 6. The developing device has a developing roller 4 disposed so as to be in contact with the image carrier, and the developing roller 4 is connected to a power source 4b, charges the toner on the developing roller 4 to the same polarity as the charge polarity of the image carrier, and simultaneously, forms a potential to stick the toner on the developing roller 4 to the image part of the image carrier and attract the toner remaining at the time of transferring, which is stuck to the nonimage part of the image carrier, to the developing roller 4. The rotational direction of the developing roller 4 is opposed to that of the image carrier, and the peripheral speed of the developing roller 4 is >=1.2 times that of the image carrier. |
