PURPOSE:To impart cushioning properties and clean feeling to coconut fiber by blowing synthetic resin fiber together with a fluid stream on a mat layer of the coconut fiber and entangling the coconut fiber with the synthetic resin fiber. CONSTITUTION:A filamentous synthetic resin is blown from the upper part on a mat layer (Y) of coconut fiber, which is then mixed and entangled with the resultant synthetic resin fiber to afford a bulky composite mat (M1) based on the coconut fiber. The mat layer (Y) is preferably suitably turned upside down to entwine the synthetic resin fiber from the back side with the coconut fiber. |
