PURPOSE:To diversify the preparation of a document by setting a format of a page unit of one document so that a format of each page in one document can be set arbitrarily. CONSTITUTION:When a format setting key 2a of a keyboard 2 is operated, an input screen for setting a format is displayed on a display part 6, and when setting of a format of a document unit is executed by this input screen, inputted format data of the document unit is stored in a format data memory 5. Subsequently, a control part 1 executes a document preparation processing corresponding to a character-string inputted from a keyboard 2, based on the format data of the document unit of the format data memory 5. On the other hand, when a format setting mode is selected, the inputted format data of a page unit is stored in the format data memory 5, and the control part 1 executes the document preparation processing corresponding to the character-string inputted from the keyboard 2, based on the format data of the page unit of the format data memory 5. |
