PURPOSE:To perform a reasonable dyeing work excellent in labor saving by charging an article to be dyed into a mordant solution containing a minimum necessary amount of a mordant, heating the mixture for the sufficient impregnation of the article with the mordant and subsequently heating the article in the dyeing solution containing the liquid vegetable dye. CONSTITUTION:An article (e.g. cotton) to be dyed is charged in a mordant solution containing the mordant (e.g. a metal salt such as chromium acetate or copper acetate) in a necessary amount larger >=20 weight times, preferably 10-15 weight times, that of the article and subsequently heated to sufficiently impregnate the article with the mordant. The mixture is charged into a vegetable dye preferably in a minimum necessary amount larger 10-5 weight times that of the article and then heated, thereby permitting to perform the dyeing processing excellent in the labor saving due to the highly effective employment of the expensive mordant and the liquid vegetable dye. |
