<p>PURPOSE: To provide an automatic sound volume adjusting device which adjusts the sound levels of various kinds of audio equipment in accordance with the ambient noise. CONSTITUTION: An automatic sound volume adjusting device for audio equipment which outputs audio signals upon receiving broadcast signals is provided with a means 11 which generates a drive signal for measuring ambient noise and displaying the noise level, a means 14 which recognizes the drive signal and generates a control signal corresponding to the noise level, and a means 9 which controls the magnitude of an audio signal outputted in accordance with the control signal from the control signal generating means 14. Therefore, the user of the audio equipment can obtain the optimum audio output from the equipment in accordance with the ambient noise without operating a volume switch every time.</p> |
