PURPOSE: To limit number of gear parts and to improve applicability of the parts to various transmission types by making the tooth number of a gear on a countershaft smaller than that of the meshing gear on a main shaft in one of two gear stages with the same total tooth number in a 16-stage transmission. CONSTITUTION: A main transmission is constructed by providing a countershaft 6 parallel to coaxial input and output shafts 4, 5, each shaft being mounted with gears 7-15 to form a plurality of gear stages K1, K2, H1-H3. An auxiliary planetary gear transmission 23 is connected to the rear of the main transmission, and an outer concentric gear 27 is coupled to an output shaft 26 at the end position of a frictional joint 28 installed on the auxiliary transmission 23. In such a transmission, a plural type of transmission is constructed by varying the transmission ratio of one or two of the gear stages K1, K2, H3. For example in type A, the teeth number of gear 8 of gear stage K1 is made smaller than that of gear 7, while the teeth number of gear 10 of gear stage K2 is made larger than that of gear 9, and the teeth number of gear 12 of gear stage H3 is made smaller than that of gear 11. |
