PURPOSE:To enable an output impedance to be adjusted within a module and an avalanche photo diode, to function at an optimum temperature. CONSTITUTION:A light-reception module incorporates a lens 2 for coupling an optical fiber to a light-reception part, an InGaAs avalanche photo diode 8 with a high-speed response, an integrated amplifier 6 for amplifying the reception light signal and then converting impedance, an output resistance 4, a thermistor 7, and a Peltier cooler element 5, thus reducing the number of externally mounted peripheral circuits for impedance matching and driving the InGaAs avalanche photo diode under optimum conditions for adjusting temperature. |
